I wrote this poem for my grandfather...

who will be dearly missed and live on forever in my heart. This poem was inspired by another that was sent to me

For Pappy

For every joy that passes

Something beautiful remains

The memories and his loving touch

Will never ever fade

For I have gained an angel

To look down and care for me

A man who fought for so long and hard

Has finally been set free

Even though I can no longer see him

He will never be off my mind

For such a gentle and caring man

Was family that I called mine

He now lives in our hearts

And keeps them beating strong

For every day we wake up

We know he’s been here all along

And think of him as living

In the hearts of those he touched,

For nothing loved is ever lost

And he was loved so much

Skydiving In Slow Motion (Beautiful, Amazing, Breathtaking.... words can't even begin to describe it)

In the picture above you can see where this driver broke through the guardrail, on the right side of the culvert, where the people are standing on the road pointing.

The pick-up was traveling about 75 mph from right to left when it crashed through the guardrail. It flipped end-over-end bounced off and across the culvert outlet, then landed right side up on the left side of it facing the opposite direction from which the driver was traveling. The 22-year-old driver and his 18-year-old passenger were unhurt except for minor cuts and bruises. (Just outside Flagstaff , AZ , on U.S. Hwy. 100.)

Yi Peng Festival Thailand (Floating Lights)

I would love to see the Yi Peng floating lights festival in Thailand. I think that something so beautiful and of such a large scale would be a magical experience. Just thinking about watching these sky lanterns being released all at once into the night sky gives me butterflies in my tummy. To me this seems like it would be the perfect place to let go of your troubles and strengthen relationships with your friends and loved ones. It is also considered good luck to release a sky lanter. I hope to go to this festival in the next few years :) 

I have included a description of the sky lanterns and the festival below....
Sky lanterns, also known as Kongming Lantern are airborne paper lanterns traditionally found in some Asian cultures. They are constructed from oiled rice paper on a bamboo frame, and contain a small candle or fuel cell composed of a waxy flammable material. When lit, the flame heats the air inside the lantern, thus lowering its density causing the lantern to rise into the air. The sky lantern is only airborne for as long as the flame stays alight, after which the lantern floats back to the ground.
It is considered good luck to release a sky lantern, and many Thais believe they are symbolic of problems and worries floating away. 

Yi Peng is the unique traditional practice of the Chiang Mai people of northern Thailand. During the holiday, thousands of paper lanterns are lit and launched into the air by locals and tourists alike.

He who angers you...

Just live.

They are not there, they did not die.

Too often people say that they ARE a body and that they HAVE a soul. I believe that we ARE a soul and that we HAVE a body. You only really know someone by understanding 'who' they are and by loving them for the person they are and not what they look like. We communicate our soul by using our body...eg feelings, actions, emotions, language etc. Without a body it may seem that a person no longer exists or it may feel as though the world is empty without them...

I believe that even though we may have lost them physically, their soul is still alive. They have become our motivation, our will power, our strength, our courage, our determination, our love of life....they help us to become everything we struggled to be before.

The love, the smiles, the tears, the laughs, the fights....all the memories are now a part of us. They are all the things that make us so incredibly happy and somehow at the same time so sad and torn up inside. Just remember that you may be missing somebody...but you have gained a forever angel.

Remember, those whose lives you have touched and whose have touched yours are always a part of you....even if the encounters were less than you would have wished. It is the content of the encounter that is more important than the form ♥
Let the memories of our loved ones live on forever xx

Live in the present

Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone.
Do not be troubled by the future, for it has not yet come.
Live in the present and make is so beautiful that it will be worth remembering.

Without the desire to take a photograph and the persistance to keep taking photographs... there would be no photographs.

The photographer could have hiked around Alaska for 3 weeks in order to get that one perfect photo or that wife may have slaved away in the kitchen for 8 hours to produce that one small meal. 

No matter what the creation, there is always some level of passion and commitment needed in order to create it.

Advanced Canyoning In Switzerland

If you are a "Thrill Seeker" I highly recommend Canyoning. We went canyoning in Interlaken, Switzerland, with a company called 'Outdoor Interlaken'. We went on the 'Chli Schliere' Trip which is named 'the best of the best' and takes canyoning to the ultimate level. This trip's duration was 8 hours and consisted of high rappels, big jumps, cold water and fast flowing narrow rock slides. 

Chli Schliere was physically demanding and some jumps were extremely confronting. Despite being both mentally and physically challenging the trip definitely had a high fun & high thrill factor.

The Chli Schliere expedition is suitable for confident and athletic people who like a bit of a challenge. 

If you go canyoning don't forget to get photos!!! It is truly a life changing experience :)

For some it is easy to envy and be jealous of others.....for they do not hold the treasures they desire. These people usually live life by destroying the happiness of others. They are the ones who grow quickly by causing others suffering but they will always be the weakest and loneliest in the end. 

For the people who grow through kindness and love grow strongest and tallest of all, and when the weak ones have wilted....the others will still be growing stronger and happier. 

The Strong people will always be better off in the end....even if it takes some courage to get through some storms.

It is incredible how much impact we have on other people around us.

When we are happy, they become happy. When we are sad, they become sad. When we show them love and kindness, in return they show us loving and kindness. Just by saying 'thank you' or making one brief phone call....we have the ability to alter someone else's life, we have the ability to express who we really are. Never take anything or anyone for granted. 

You really don't know what you've got until it's gone...

Sea Cliff Bridge, Wollongong (aka "Love Lock Bridge")

Sea Cliff Bridge 'Love Lock Bridge' is 23kms north of Wollongong (60km south of central Sydney) and it runs parallel to the coast. The bridge was opened on the 11th of December in 2005 and it's total cost was A$52 Million.
Since the bridge was first opened it has become a little heavier. This is because couples visit the bridge to express their love for one another by attaching an engraved padlock onto the railings as a public testimony to their bond. This is how the bridge in Wollongong received the famous name 'Love Lock Bridge'.
Some couples throw the keys into the ocean and others hold onto them for keep sakes.
I recommend everyone to walk this bridge as it is an amazing experience to read all the messages loved ones have left there. And if you have a declaration of love to make to another then you should definitely put your lock on the bridge :)

My Bucket List...

This is my bucket list...I have only just started it so I am sure there will be lots more to add in the future. If you have anything to recommend I would love to hear your suggestions.

I love the outdoors and to travel to new places. I have been Skydiving and Canyoning and I would love to do some more extreme and adventurous things.
